The word “tithe” simply means 10% and refers to the practice of giving 10% of our income to the local church (Gen 14:20, Mal 3:10, Lk 11:42). When we practice tithing, we find that God promises to bless us—he even encourages us to “test Him” by tithing and expecting his promises of provision to come through.
